LONELY VALLEY

                                                                                            1
        LONELY VALLEY
                                                                                                       2
Staring to the Mount Shiva Lingam,
And its lovely dark green tip
                                           3
We sat on a piece of stone,
Just  on the sharp edge of a hill side deep.

,                                                                       Oblivious of the obvious danger,
                                                                                That awaits a slightest carelessness,
We lost ourselves in the soothing lap of Nature
Who welcomed and embraced us with loving caress.
Dressed in deep green saree  with white lining,
Of the waterfalls and snowy white patch,
The mother Nature moves around us,
In the floating cotton like clouds with a heavenly touch.
Clouds above our heads , clouds below in the hills,
Concealing and revealing the mountain peak,
Giving an impression of a lovely  image,
Found and lost in a dream of sleep.
In this lovely valley of Lonavala,
We enjoyed to our hearts fill,
Nature talked to us in the murmuring of the Lake water,

                                                                                   (2)
And in the sound of the Water falls flowing down the Hill.

The endless blue Sky with patches of clouds here and there,
And the sweet music of the Wind that spreads to the
                                                                                                                                                        Distant horizon,
Nature appears before us in the Silence, in the Serenity
And in the tickling of the drizzling Rain.
We listened to  Nature, we talked to her ,
And we felt her presence like a living being,
Wordsworth, the great worshiper of Nature

Must have appreciated this Lonely Valley,
And could have gathered some more elements,
                                                4
For his theory of Pantheism.
In an endless interaction with Nature,
He must have enjoyed the celestial pleasure,
And heard the sound of the Silence in his deep sleep
In the lap of Nature in this beautiful valley here.
I happened to be in the midst of
The wonderful phenomena of this enchanting valley,
With the family of my loving daughter  and my wife,
The sweet memories of this LONELY VALLEY ,
Will  really remain ever green  till the end of my life.

How grows the Kid

How grows the Kid
For my daughter,

As a kid I have seen
Sweet, soft and slow,
But as time slips on and on
Days rolled into months and years
A score and ten and more
These days I experience
And observe you gradually grow
Into a lovely and charming damsel
In the schools and colleges you go

Subsequently thereafter
I saw you off to your in-laws abode
With your handsome groom ever
And within a very short time
You flew away to USA
Where you stayed and travelled
A large expanse of the States
With your hubby dear
And a new born baby there

Now that I find that kid transformed
An excellent home maker
A busy bee in her household chores
And nursing her four and half year kid
Dancing and shouting all through the night and day
Your mom and I feel elevated and excited
To find you busy and happy
With your kid and the man you married
Time is stealing away
Everything will go away
We will also pass away
But we wish you to leave
Your footprints in the sand of time
With perpetual glory and gorgeous way.
